How José Henrique Borghi Rose To The Top Of The Advertising World

José Henrique Borghi was born in Presidente Prudente. He developed his interest as a child when he saw a very intriguing advertisement before a movie. He went on to earn a degree in Advertising and Propaganda at PUC Campinas. He has been a successful advertiser ever since and has worked with some of the largest brands in the world.

In 1989, José Henrique Borghi began his professional career at the advertising agency Standart Ogilvy as an editor. His work drew the attention of other agencies and he ended up working at Talent, DM9/DDB, Léo Burnett, and FCB. Eventually, he co-founded his own agency, BorghiErh. When he recalls this time in his life, José Henrique Borghi says that they started the business with essentially nothing. They earned the success they had at the agency through hard work creating imaginative and compelling advertising campaigns .

As BorghiErh got more successful the agency drew the attention of larger ad agencies who wanted access to its talent. The company was bought in 2006 by Lowe and renamed Borghi Lowe . This company was eventually merged with the Mullen Group and the advertising agency that José Henrique Borghi now serves as a co-CEO is called Mullen Lowe.

José Henrique Borghi recently created a new logo for Mullen Lowe that he calls the Challenger Octopus. He said that it shows the agencies various offers as well as its desire to be the best ad agency in the business. He said it also shows that Brazil is one of the world’s most creative places.

Outside of his career, José Henrique Borghi enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is also an avid athlete. In addition to taekwondo, he is a marathoner and ironman participant. He also uses his bicycle in order to commute to work and the airport, as well as jogging.
