Renown Health Offers A New Way To Approach Health Care

The Summit Mall of South Reno will now offer more than shoes, dresses, pants and delicious food. You can now go to Reno’s Summit Mall if you are in need of lab work or a prescription for your cold! The Renown Health network that has become so popular and influential in the Reno area has announced that they will be opening a new location, this time in a mall.Healthcare in a mall? This is not conventional, by any means. But Renown Health is not afraid to do things a little bit differently, and change the way that people think about the care that they receive. The space will be designed by the interior designing company “MBA Architects + Interior Design”, and was spearheaded by designer and architect Eric Fong. The medical director of Renown, Dr. McCormack, said that the Renown clinic will be engineered to provide an “inviting and comfortable” feeling for the patients who come in for appointments and blood work.

Renown Health is locally owned by Reno community members. Instead of having a disconnect between the hospital advisers and the community, there is instead an integrated approach within the Renown Health business model. All money is allocated by the local owners, and since it is run on a not-for-profit model, all income is reinvested into community programs and initiatives, and back into the organization. The Renown Network owns and operates almost 1,000 patient beds, and has over 700 doctors that they are connected to and work with .

Renown has received over $10 million dollars from donors who appreciate the work that they are doing. As an organization, they are changing the health and well being of Reno as a city. They continually contribute to non-profits in the area, and support research and clinical trials that impact people’s lives. The Renown Health board members and advisers operate with the values of the community at heart, and all decisions are based on that core value. The healthcare that the hospitals and doctors in the network provide is tied together with the activities outside of the hospital or clinic walls. Read more.

The most prevalent type of sleep apnea is the obstructive sleep apnea. This disorder mainly involves repeated interference of breathing during sleep. It happens when throat muscles relax during sleep, and it usually results in snoring. It has many effects such as insomnia, headaches, and drowsiness. Lack of oxygen commonly results in daytime fatigue and poor sleep. Sleep apnea is mostly associated with the increased risk of diabetes, heart attack, obesity, stroke, and high blood pressure.

Sleep apnea is managed through the use of CPAP machine that includes a mask that fits on a person to provide a constant flow of air. This keeps the airway open, and the patient sleeps well throughout the night. The machine tracks the data that is used by doctors to adjust the air pressure. It is also used to add additional treatments or medications to its maximum effectiveness.

Most doctors use the custom-fit oral appliance, which resembles an athletic mouth guard. It works by supporting the patient’s jaws when sleeping hence keeping the upper airway open. Only sleep specialists are supposed to refer a patient to a dentist. Dentists are the ones who possess the necessary training to fit the appliance.

Sleep Apnea Doctor Avi Weisfogel Discusses Travel CPAP Devices

Those who suffer from sleep apnea might have taken the first step in purchasing a bulky Continuous Positive Air Pressure (CPAP) machine for their homes. But what can they do while camping, on a business trip or holiday vacation? Sleep Apnea Doctor Avi Weisfogel discusses travel CPAP devices allowing you to enjoy a vibrant quality of life.

“CPAP Machine Controls Night-Time Breathing”

Sleep apnea can lead to a number of maladies as people snore, gasp or choke when their air passages close during the night. This lack of oxygen can cause insomnia and prevent deeper REM dream stages. During the day, individuals might suffer from fatigue, headaches, high blood pressure, mood swings, cardiovascular problems and obesity.

Thankfully, CPAP machines have been invented to help people with sleep apnea keep their air passages open. The large CPAP machine includes a mask tightly fitting over the nose and mouth, which can maintain the proper air pressure during the night. The best CPAP machines control breathing, track changes, monitor data and include humidifiers. But, most are too bulky to take along on short excursions.

“Try New Miniature CPAP Devices”

Smaller “CPAP-to-go” devices and oral appliances are being manufactured according toThe Huffington Post, which prevent sleep apnea where “… the back of the throat collapses during sleep, blocking the airway.” Sleep apnea should not cramp your social or business life.

The custom-fit “Oral Appliance” is a small mouth guard that projects your jaw forward to keep airways open. “Nasal Valve Therapy” uses single-use disposable adhesive bandages to keep your nostrils open while sleeping. You could purchase a variety of these devices for different needs.

The Success of Sanjay Shah’s Autism Research Campaign

Autism is a fast growing disorder that affects one in 68 children each year. It has been proven in addition to this that boys are more likely to be diagnosed with this fast grow disorder than girls. This disorder, though a well known disability, now has a new campaign known as Autism Rocks that has the mission of furthering overall research and understanding of autism.

Autism Rocks is a campaign that was started by Sanjay Shah who is a hedge fund manager and CEO of Solo Capital. Though Mr. Shah wanted to further the research for this disability, he did not know how to do so until until he was influenced by Snoop Dogg to fund-raise by using celebrities to sing concerts all around London. Since then, Mr. Shah has been able to persuade superstars such as Prince, Michael Buble, Lenny Kravitz and many others to play at his concerts.

Mr. Shah’s success in the hedge fund industry has enabled him to create this foundation to further research in autism which indirectly benefits his 4-year old son who has been diagnosed with autism. Mr. Shah’s experience at Solo Capital has enabled him to expand his business to employ over 100 financial experts in both the London officers as well as the Dubai offices. Mr. Shah’s success has made him one of the top donators to the Dubai Autism Centre.

With Sanjay’s new fundraising events, all the funds go to the Autism Research Trust that will support the Autism Research Centre that is centered in Cambridge. Mr. Shah has the desire to understand both the cause as well as the effects of autism and how to understand the person who is diagnosed. Mr. Shah does not have the desire to cure autism. Instead, Mr. Shah has the desire to understand how to communicate with his son in a more effective manner that can also benefit millions of other parents or family members.

Autism is a disability that is costly and time consuming. On average, parents of family members with autistic children can spend up to $60,000 on average in medical treatment and doctors appointments. Now with Autism Rocks, there will be gigs around the world that exhibit superstars who all have the same mission of raising more money to benefit both children and adults.

Sanjay Shah has worked with over 39 companies while finally landing as the CEO of Solo Capital. His current success has made his philanthropic goal a more attainable goal with his wealth and his connections. Mr. Shah has pledged his intent of furthering the research on autism that will help continue the positive development of children with autism and their parents. Sanjay Shah has the intent of raising as much money as he can that will all go towards research.

Joseph Bismark and the Spiritual Workforce Revolution

You may not have heard of Joseph Bismark but he is one of the most important members behind the scenes for QI Group. For almost the past decade he has been serving as the Managing Director for QI and doing it in such a way that people have begun to take notice. Bismark isn’t what you would call a typical Managing Director with much of his focus going to maintaining a level head and spiritual presence both in the office and outside of it. His unique blend of new age and old school ideas made him the perfect person for a feature in asPire Magazine, as reported by Yahoo News.

A trip to Joseph Bismarck’s office would yield quite an interesting encounter for most employees of QI Group. Bismark doesn’t believe in the old school brimstone and hellfire way of doing things. He instead follows a very interesting set of tenets based around his own vedic philosophies. He exudes calmness and an aura of welcoming, all while pushing each employee to be the best version of themselves that they possibly could be. His commitment to an open office comes from his own focus on maintaining his body and mind in a clear and present place.

Outside of the office you would typically run into Joseph Bismark while he is at the Singapore School of Meditation and Yoga where he serves as a Yoga Master. It is here that he helps to spread the benefits of Yoga in a way that even beginners can latch onto and understand. His advocacy for Yoga comes from his firm belief that your mind and soul can benefit from finding the relaxation and zen within and it is a key part as to why he incorporates it into his day to day lives.

Joseph knows and understands that you have a responsibility both to yourself and the world around you to chip in where you can and that is why he devotes so much time to the RHYTHM Foundation, which is the QI Group’s social responsibility arm. Of his intense and active life Bismark says, “I believe in the importance of immersing ourselves in as many physical and mental activities as we can.” He goes on to explain that he keeps busy so that he stays sharp, knowing that a busy life is a well utilized one. It is for these reasons that he has made such an impact at the QI Group.
